Simmons University Kotzen Scholarships provide the following incentives to the recipient:

  • A $3,000 scholarship is offered each year for study abroad, short-term courses, summer internship expenses, and research support.
  • Full tuition, required fees, and room & board are all covered by the scholarship.

The Simmons University Kotzen Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Students applying for the Kotzen Scholarships at Simmons University must complete the following requirements:

  • Apply for the autumn semester as a freshman.
  • TOEFL and SAT or ACT scores are required for non-native English speakers.
  • During or before your senior year of high school, you should take a college prepared curriculum that includes an advanced level math course.
  • Unweighted GPA of 3.3 or higher
  • Honors, advanced placement (AP), and international baccalaureate (IB) courses taken in respective high school systems
  • English is the required language.
  • All countries in the world are eligible.
  • ACT score of 28 or higher, new SAT score of 1300 or higher, or old SAT CR+M score of 1250 or higher A minimum of 600 on each SAT section is strongly advised.

How to Apply for Kotzen Scholarships at Simmons University

To apply for the Simmons University Kotzen Scholarships, please complete the following steps:

  • By December 1, applicants must have completed and submitted both their scholarship application and their admission application to the College.
  • The application is divided into two parts. A brief response and a formal essay Students should submit their essays by December 1 via our online form or via email to [email protected] with the subject line “Kotzen Application.” Students should include their full name and date of birth on each page of the document.
  • Short Answer (no more than 250 words): How would you spend your extra $3000 per year (for study abroad, short-term courses, summer internship tuition, and/or research support)?
  • Formal Essay (maximum 500 words): How can a woman most effectively lead change in today’s world?
  • Finalists accepted for scholarship consideration will be expected to participate in an on-campus interview in February. If you are an overseas applicant who is unable to go to campus, you may be interviewed by Skype instead.
